born and raised in los angeles, rebecca briefly resided in boston, ma where she studied film scoring and vocal performance at Berklee College of Music. Rebecca took a part time job at a small flower shop in Boston, ma during this time and was immediately hooked on floristry. She describes those first years training under fleetwood floral's molly burke as “the beginning of a full-blown love affair with all things budding”.

By 2020 Rebecca had spent a handful of years dipping in and out of the floral industry. in the midst of releasing original music and collaborating with jazz is dead’s adrian younge on his “Voices of Gemma” album, the pandemic hit and the world of flowers called her back.

since then, buds budding has worked closely with The Music Center, Warner Music group, erewhon, sightglass coffee, Maed Beauty, and Porsche designing everything from event florals to grab & go buds as well as gifting and marketing campaigns.

for the 2026 season, the studio is focused providing floral services for special events and weddings and specializing in experiential florals for any and everyone.
